  • University degree/college diploma or the successful completion of career related courses
  • Certified Quality Engineer would be given preference
  • Three to five years of automotive auditing experience for product & process. IATF Internal auditor certification preferred.
  • Adept with problem solving methodologies. Preference will be given to Six Sigma Blackbelts, or Red X Journeyman or Technician.
  • Three to five years in the quality field in a technical capacity
  • Knowledge of all Quality concepts and phases including: APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, Root cause analysis and DFSS.
  • Computer literate with strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with experience using Windows and Minitab
  • Able to work overtime and travel (local, international)
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting critical program milestones.
MAIN DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES OF JOB:
  • Works closely with Product Engineering and suppliers in developing PFMEA and participates in Supplier APQP activities.
  • Communicates key project expectations to applicable Suppliers in coordination with Mytox Program Manager.
  • Schedules and performs launch reviews at Supplier location, ensuring that key Mytox resources are invited and present during activities (ie. PPAP reviews, run at rate)
  • Participates in Mytox APQP Activities and prepares reports for Supplier activities pertaining to launch. (ie. Run @ Rate status, product capability)
  • Maintains Quality Records, Forms and documentation in accordance with Quality Assurance Systems and Processes
  • Assists suppliers in trouble shooting and ensuring timely PPAP and Run at Rate capability
  • Monitor and track Engineering changes that are related to Supplier products, ensuring that Suppliers are adhering to Mytox policies and procedures regarding Documentation, FIFO and control of new level parts through the process chain.
  • Technical supplier evaluation and risk assessing to assist Mytox APQP CFT in supplier sourcing for new, or carryover products
  • Lead Corrective action initiatives at Supplier locations
  • Participation in supplier’s workshops
  • Frequent travel to supplier locations. Flexible to travel at a moment notice, and potentially for extended stays during launch activity or during Supplier corrective action initiatives.
  • Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions (through verification) relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Support suppliers to produce and deliver engineering trial samples to ensure latest designs are met.
  • Maintains QPF database and follows up with Suppliers on corrective actions and coordinate and monitor third party containment as needed.
  • Chairs monthly Quality review meetings with Top 5 suppliers and Mytox CFT.
  • Oversee the APQP / PPAP process at Supplier to ensure flawless launch incorporating safe launch protocols (containment).
  • Travel to Supplier locations to support initial launch activities and oversee Supplier run at rate and review Supplier documentation for PPAP.
  • Performs on site assessments at Supplier locations as required.
  • Manages and supports all supplier rating system deliverables, including continuous improvements with appropriate supplier communications.
  • Perform duties to ensure that their department policies, procedures and instructions are followed to satisfy requirements of the IATF 16949 quality management and ISO 14001
  • Attends training based on Mytox Internal Training Matrix
  • Adheres to all Mytox safety rules and regulations
  • Is familiar with Mytox’s policies and procedures
  • Any other reasonable request by management
