About Landmark East School
Landmark East is an independent co-ed day and boarding school for students with learning differences located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, a small university town nestled in the Annapolis Valley. The student base is diverse with learners who have been diagnosed in a variety of areas such as high functioning Autism, Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder and more that can make learning challenging in a traditional school setting. Position Summary:
As a member of the Student Life Team you are responsible for helping to develop and lead evening and weekend recreation activities for boarding students Grades 7-12. Student Life Team Members must also be prepared and able to supervise, assist and ensure the safety and enjoyment of students in a variety of other school and community situations including but not limited to: study hall, student residences, afterschool and weekend settings, school vehicles and activities. The Student Life Team Member will report to (and be under the direct supervision of) the Student Life Assistant Director and Student Life Director.

• Empathetic, caring, and able to communicate a wide range of messaging with a varied group of individuals

Education, Training, and Experience:

• Experience with youth in a school/recreational/residential setting
• Currently enrolled in or completed a college or university level program
• Valid Driver’s License
• Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry

• Current certification for Emergency First Aid or willing to obtain
• Mental Health First Aid is considered an asset
