Sterile Supply Technician B, Permanent Full-Time
Medical Device Reprocessing, Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor

Definition of work:
Reporting to the Manager of the Medical Device Reprocessing Department, the Sterile Supply Technician is responsible for all duties associated with the collection and distribution of patient care items and the decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, handling and storage of patient care medical equipment and supplies. The Sterile Supply Technician is also responsible for reprocessing scopes in the Endoscopy Department. All responsibilities are carried out in adherence to professional standards, manufacturer’s instructions and departmental policies and procedures. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centred care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

Hours of work: 75 hours biweekly (Shift work may be required)
Salary: CG-24 ($22.41-$24.69)
