The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Replenishment is responsible for working with the Business Unit to forecast and replenish products, and is responsible for managing the inventory replenishment process, ensuring that the retail divisions are adequately serviced for regular, promotional and seasonal demand requirements, inventory levels are controlled considering cycle time objectives and network capacity constraints and current and/or new process are developed, implemented and executed in the most effective manner. The Sr. Manager also works with the appropriate planogram team to ensure timely milestones are met and the successful execution of planograms are developed. The Supply Chain Replenishment Sr. Manager works in a highly cross functional environment, interacting with sourcing, supply chain operations, category team, and planning teams. This position works together with the Category Management team members to forecast and replenish products according to sales projection plans and programs defined by the Category Management team.

This position reports to the Director, Supply Chain (DHB).
The central job responsibilities for a Supply Chain Sr. Manager are:
  • Selection, leadership and development of the replenishment business unit team.
  • Lead & support processes that create and manage business unit level forecasts to support established inventory and category marketing / sales plans.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the management of inventory and all replenishment flows from Vendor to Store within the business unit.
  • Manage inventory to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are met such as aged inventory, service level/sales, and days on hand).
  • Participate in collaborative planning with vendors, ensuring all forecast and flow requirements are executed to defined targets / standards supporting the category marketing plans and that supply chain analysts execute plans effectively.
  • Work with Transport, Distribution, Operational Planning and Vendors to determine and co-ordinate the flow of goods through the network and ensure the category business unit team is aligned to support the established flow plans.
  • Ensure all data management pertaining to forecasts, product and vendor attributes are maintained effectively by the Replenishment Business Unit.
  • Lead and undertake process improvement initiatives, with vendors and cross functional teams members, focused on improving KPI’s.
  • Provide status updates to the business pertaining to supply chain and business unit performance including a forward view of expected results / opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of special projects/initiatives identified by the business and/or Supply Chain management team designed to improve overall Supply Chain performance.
  • Identify opportunities and improve vendor performance.
  • Ensure all data management pertaining to data integrity and product and vendor attributes are maintained.
  • Act as a point of contact on system/data integrity related issues.
  • Generate and review scorecards to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Ad hoc projects as required
  • Design and produce ad-hoc reports for senior management when needed.
  • Manage relationship with vendors through conversations with Sourcing as it relates to purchase order issues and delays.

What You’ll Need:

  • University degree or college diploma preferably in a business or logistics field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience, preferably in a management role and within a Supply Chain environment
  • Demonstrate leadership and team development abilities and have superior communication, interpersonal, team-building, and analytical and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP/JDA/IPFR.
  • Understanding of Loblaw Replenishment automated replenishment tools, reports and processes
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Retail business environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good Global geographical knowledge is an asset
  • Must be driven to improve processes and take initiative to highlight opportunities
