Robert Half is looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to be part of a thriving company. You will manage financial modeling on a range of financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans in this position. You will also be responsible for advising management on the allocation of resources to best complete objectives and preparing reports for management. As a team member, you will serve as a key business partner in areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. Located in the Vaughan, Ontario, area, this Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract employment opportunity. We seek a candidate with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated competency in financial analysis.

Your responsibilities

• Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
• Individual that enjoys a flexible work environment, experienced in handling vast amounts of information and managing expectations
• Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
• Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
• Compose and oversee forecasting reports
• Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
• Work with contacts in Accounting and Operations to support business plans
• Watch over annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations
• Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities
• Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends
• Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
  

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
• Go-to-market experience or experience
• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
• Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
• Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Command of general ledger
• Adeptness in Report Writing
• Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Financial analysis experience desired
• Accruals experience
• Month-end Reports experience highly desired
• Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
• Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
