About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Director of R&D, the Software Developer – LMS Focus will be an integral part of the R&D team. You will make a difference by helping AW to build the software and infrastructure needed to deliver and maintain a quality service for our clients. This includes working with other developers, designers, product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure our product meets the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Work with team members to deliver the key features, as identified by leadership, that eliminate sales objections and improve the core of our service.
  • Follow internal development guidelines when building software for the AWN solution. This includes secure coding practices.
  • Follow the R&D process to deliver software for our clients.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle.
  • Build well-designed, testable, efficient, secure code.
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Document and maintain software functionality.
  • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and/or Directly Responsible Individual
  • Members of Technical Staff own the full technology stack. They are responsible for building, securing, testing, deploying, and monitoring their solutions.
The Software Developer - LMS focus has these additional responsibilities
  • Maintain, patch, fix existing LMS codebase for current customers
  • Coordinate and handle all aspects of onboarding new LMS customers
  • Serve as primary escalation point and fix agent for all LMS support issues
  • Continually work towards tighter integration of existing LMS codebase and infrastructure into Security Awareness & Training’s core R&D platform
Required Skills And Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant IT sector
  • Previous or current experience working with Go and React
  • Experience working in security is considered an asset
Security Requirements
  • Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with AW’s Information Security policies, standards, processes, and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AW business information assets.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and an employment verification as a condition of employment.
