Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing manufacturing engineering team. This team is responsible for the automation tools and manufacturing infrastructure, as well as improving verification, configuration, and production of Teledyne FLIR products.
This role is for someone who is a team player, detail-oriented, curious to learn, and passionate about building high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will investigate new areas to help improve our technology stack, including expanding the team’s development and automation infrastructure, as well as improving our monitoring, analytics and reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust software solutions to support our manufacturing facilities
- Participate in the full software development life cycle
- Work with other team members on cross-functional team tasks and projects
- Come up with ideas and solutions to raise the bar and to support new initiatives
- Maintain legacy applications
- Maintain software build systems
- Mentor junior developers or co-ops
- University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years industry experience in software development
- Professional experience with C# and Microservices architecture
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as MySQL and Elasticsearch
- Experience with web frontend and framework such as Angular or React
- Solid knowledge of OOP principles
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills
- Extensive experience with C# / .NET
- Familiarity with performance tuning
- Experience with scripting languages
- Experience with software architecture design
- Experience with leading junior developers or co-ops
- Self-motivated with strong desire to learn
- Confident and take responsibility seriously
- Take pride in your work
- Collaborative and respectful mindset
