Segois a highly reputable water systems and service company serving the wholesale distribution market. The Shipping/Receiver/Warehouse role is responsible for proper receiving and placement of goods and materials into designated receiving areas as well as the Warehouse. This very busy, demanding and full-time role will report directly to the Branch Manager of the Sego Lethbridge location.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Unload and visually inspect all incoming goods, products, and corresponding documentation, report errors or damages, fill out forms for damaged and returned items and route them correctly
• Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles and trailers as required
• Small Pump Warranty Inspections
• Health and Safety operations adherence
• Assist and Support Technical Sales team in all aspects of shipping/receiving, warehouse
• Advise purchasing of material shortages or delivery delays
• Perform warehouse duties such as maintaining and organize goods and materials, keeping areas clean and orderly, taking initiative for warehouse maintenance
• Ensure processes and forklift operations and performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner
• Performing warehouse inventory controls and keeping quality standards high
• Maintain a highly organized and clean warehouse to maintain professional standards and service excellence
• Coordinate with the procurement team and periodically track and provides updates on the status of incoming goods
• Schedule shipments and customer deliveries
• Prepare and document shipping documents (incoming and outgoing inventories.)
• Maintain the safety of the inventory of the warehouse and report damaged stock or products to the manager
• Ensure packaging materials or hazardous waste that may arrive with goods are properly
disposed of
• Coordinate intra-warehouse shipments and documentation among Vern’s, Aggressive and other Sego Locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience:
• High School Diploma (Preferred)
• Three yrs. of related experience (Preferred)
• Mechanical assembly/repair expertise is an asset
• Forklift experience
• Computer skills using Microsoft Office or an ERP system; use of RF guns
• Strong communication (oral and written), organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of time organization/management and urgency especially during peak demand times
• Detail oriented, strong work ethic, self-motivated
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently; take initiative; ability to handle high-stress workload in a fast-paced team environment
• Team player. Work to support technical Sales Team and all aspects of operations, but able to also work independently
Licenses & Qualifications:
• Clean Criminal Record
• Valid Driver’s Licence and provision of Driver’s Abstract will be required
• Safety Training: WHMIS, First Aid, etc., would be an asset
Salary commensurate with Education, Experience, Qualifications and Skillset
