Your role

Join our team as a Senior Project Manager – Water and Wastewater, with the British Columbia Busines Unit.

In this role you will collaborate with our rapidly growing Infrastructure Services Team and act as a trusted advisor to Owners on large, complex infrastructure projects.

To be successful in this role you will bring a wealth of experience leading projects and be able to demonstrate a portfolio varying in scope and complexity with depth in large scale sewer and drainage projects. You will also bring expertise leading the delivery of large, complex municipal sewer and drainage projects.

Ideally you will hold either P.Eng or PMP and have experience working as an owner’s representative or in a professional services environment with a focus on municipal infrastructure projects, specializing in Water and Wastewater.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide project leadership and design review expertise to the client’s projects, representing their best interests and achieving their strategic end goals.
  • Be trusted advisor to the client, applying your deep understanding of design, construction and operation of water and wastewater facilities and associated infrastructure assets.
  • Lead clients through the set-up, initiation, execution, monitoring and reporting of their projects.
  • Provide leadership to a highly skilled project team, guiding them towards common goals and establish levels of authority and lines of communication.
  • Act as the key interface between Colliers Project Leaders and the Client.
  • Chair project and site meetings, identify and resolve project issues and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Serve as the relationship manager role for select clients with the goal to nurture trusted relationships.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the infrastructure services business unit.
  • Apply your leadership and communication skills to bring together stakeholders and project teams.
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Eng. and/or PMP designations are required.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the water and wastewater industry.
  • 7 years end to end project management experience including design, construction and commissioning.
  • Experience leading large scale sewer and drainage projects.
  • Experience managing the design and construction of large Water and Wastewater projects.
  • Extensive client facing experience in the delivery of related projects.
  • Led and/or significantly contributed to the preparation of RFP/Q’s, tenders and tender awards.
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of design and construction delivery models.
  • The leadership skills needed to influence decisions and resolve client and project issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
