SeedMaster is currently seeking an innovative, results oriented Senior Manufacturing Engineer.The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads a team of production engineers & technologists who plan and design methods to improve manufacturing processes throughout the facility. They facilitate changes to designs, processes, and procedures with the production department to ensure quality products are produced efficiently. Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail and the ability to optimize and implement new designs and processes are necessary skills for this role.

What will you be working on?

  • Provide engineering support for manufacturing activities to help maximize production
  • Perform engineering analysis of manufacturing activities, evaluate efficiency gains and make recommendations for improvements
  • Investigate issues in production, analyze root causes, and derive resolutions
  • Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve upon engineering documentation and procedures
  • Design jigs/fixtures and standard operating procedures to ensure high quality products are produced
  • Perform cost studies; design and implement cost-reductive changes
  • Creation and maintenance of manufacturing bill of materials

What is required for this role?

  • Engineering degree or diploma in related field
  • 8+ years’ direct work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks is required
  • Meticulous attention to detail; strong mechanical background with focus on manufacturing methods and procedures
  • Experience with steel fabrication, manufacturing processes and machine design
