  • Primary Manager: Director, International Wealth Management


Job Purpose:

Contributes to the overall success of the Global Wealth Finance, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Provide executives with coverage of the Global Wealth banking industry, monitor trends of competing banks, conduct review and analysis of equity research reports and help to provide recommendations that will enhance the Canadian Bank’s financial results
  • Assist in developing various financial projections & models in an effort to support projects and forecast the results of Global Wealth Segment, which will include interpreting financial data across business lines / product areas and incorporating the most recent economic information, in order to provide timely guidance towards achieving the Bank’s longer-term financial targets
  • Support stakeholder relationship management with key business lines, product groups, Investor Relations, Strategy, Global Finance, Global Wealth Management, Group Treasury and Global Risk Management
  • Work closely with other teams in Global Wealth Finance, in order to provide additional resourcing and support for special projects or during periods of peak demand
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • CFA or MBA and/or Accounting Designation preferred
  • 8 year’s work experience in financial industry, experience in Research, Strategy, Investment Banking and or Wealth Business lines
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, especially with senior level management
  • Material knowledge of the Wealth Management and Financial Institutions industry and their products/businesses
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products
  • Built complex dynamic financial models to analyze investment opportunities and project future earnings
  • Experience with Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning & Forecasting and PeopleSoft
  • Fluency in Spanish an asset
