The Opportunity

This position will be accountable for the ongoing support and enhancement of all HR technology platforms within Wajax and leverage technology to create opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced user experience. This includes the research, design, testing and roll out of enhancements; and supporting the research, selection, and implementation of new HR technologies as required. This role will also support the overall analytics and reporting of HR/People metrics.

The Role
  • Serve as the functional and technical point of contact and ambassador for HR Technology platforms; oversee the daily operation of technology platforms and provide guidance and end-user support for system functionality
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for operational excellence to maximize process and systems efficiencies; facilitate discussion of business process improvements and recommend related initiatives
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new and additional functionality to the HR technology platforms
  • Maintain and configure new requirements in the UTA (UKG Pro Time & Attendance) module
  • Partner with the organization on their reporting, analytics, and audit needs; develop and maintain simple to complex reports and dashboards utilizing Cognos Analytics
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analyses for requested departmental/regional reports
  • Develop and maintain procedures for users to ensure business efficiency and data integrity
  • Perform ongoing reconciliations and audits of HR data and processes to ensure data integrity and consistency; adherence to internal audit processes as well as corporate and HR policies
  • Additional responsibilities may include assisting with mapping process flows, documenting test plans, and conducting user training
  • Perform other duties as required
  • This role is remote and can reside anywhere in Canada.
The Candidate

Education:Post-secondary education (in Business, IT, or HR) or equivalent work experience; HR certification an asset; CCBA or CBAP certification an asset

Work Experience:5 - 7 years of progressive experience

Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of, and system administration experience with, HCM platforms (UKG Pro preferred)
  • UKG Pro Time & Attendance (UTA) experience a strong asset)
  • Solid understanding of data and report writing (Cognos Analytics experience preferred)
  • Deep understanding of trends and best practices in People Analytics
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel (Power BI an asset)
  • End-user focus, you are able to assess needs, build rapport and manage expectations through open and frequent communication
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Demonstrated experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism within data privacy standards
