Our client in London has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Senior Environmental/Geoscience Engineer to join their growing team! We are seeking a candidate who can find design solutions to pressing environmental problems, using a good deal of creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Final technical and quality review of environmental reports and other documents to ensure compliance with client and project objectives, regulatory requirements and technical standards.

• Providing senior environmental support to multi-disciplinary projects.

• Providing leadership and technical input for Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation Programs.

• Acting as Qualified Person (ESA) for the filing of Records of Site Condition.

• Providing technical input and strategy as QPESA for Risk Assessment projects.

• Preparing and reviewing work plans and cost estimates and acting as technical lead on RFP submissions.

• Develop technical knowledge within the Environmental Division, including input into staff training and development and the updating of Standard Operation Procedures.

• Be engaged in the environmental consulting industry and aware of emerging trends, MECP expectations and regulatory changes.

• Perform business development activities, manage projects and clients.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Degree, Environmental Degree or Geoscience Degree

• 12-15+ years of experience in a similar role

• P.Eng or P. Geo Designation

• Qualified Person, Environmental Site Assessment (QPESA), with a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of O.Reg.153/04 and Record of Site Condition filing experience

• Comprehensive understanding of industry standard environmental site assessment practices and processes

• Understanding of hydrogeology, contaminant transport and geology

• General understanding of construction practices, earthworks, and planning development approvals process
