Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be comfortable interacting with clients and working in a team based environment. This role provides the opportunity for technical and business acumen growth, and requires a commitment to providing clients with practical, creative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage projects and clients from conceptual design to final completion.
  • Establish and maintain successful client relationships and support ongoing business development initiatives.
  • Coordination with other engineering and architectural disciplines
  • Assuming responsibilities of discipline practiced on assigned project scope.
  • Manage project schedules
  • Quality control of design calculations and contract conditions
  • Delegate and/or supervise construction review and coordinate with field staff.

Professional Qualifications & Experience


Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited university
  • Licensed Engineer within the province of Alberta at a minimum. Licenced in other provinces would be considered an asset.


Experience:

  • 15 years of relevant industry experience
  • Site grading design
  • Drainage design, storm sewers design, and storm management
  • Pavement and roadway design
  • Sanitary sewers design
  • Site utilities and servicing
  • Water and wastewater


Skills:

  • Committed to providing exceptional client service and technical excellence.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Fast learner with the desire to grow professionally and personally.
  • Thorough understanding of the design process including the application of civil design software packages.
