Job Purpose:

The Financial Reconciliation team is responsible for developing, managing and executing the centralized financial reconciliation process within the Bank. Intercompany Reconciliation is a key control to ensure the accuracy of Financial and Regulatory Reporting at both Consolidated Bank’s and local units’ level. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the building and management of Intercompany Accounts and General ledger Reconciliation process.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Support the establishment of global governance including framework, policy, and procedures for intercompany accounts.
  • Assist in the development of an All Bank platform and repository for intercompany accounts and activities.
  • Prepare monthly reporting for senior management, including an escalation process for any variances.
  • Report variances on a monthly basis and will work closely with Global Finance internal control team for reconciliations and attestations mandates.
  • Support the enhancement of accounting oversight for the accounting processes currently residing in the Global Payment Operations team, especially in regard to costs charged out to other legal entities.
  • Provide training to operational units (in connection with the Global Finance internal control team) on intercompany procedures.
  • Support Specialized Accounting’s operations includes ad hoc assignments as well as involvement in Month End and Quarter End financial reporting activities.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Advanced Excel and strong programming skills, such as PYTHON ; macro and coding are desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience on business analysis and data governance would be an asset.
  • Working towards CPA or CFA designation is preferred.
  • High levels of analytical, conceptual, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance competing deliverables, manage priorities and time and to reallocate as required.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Good team building skills, working with diverse groups to resolve issues and identify efficiencies.
  • Solid communication skills (written & oral) and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to establish relationships with internal customers, as well as senior management.
  • Ability to work in a project environment as required, with key deliverables and ensuring requirements of department are represented.
  • Ability to understand controls in and around systems, ensuring changes implemented maintain or strengthen control environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish would be a benefit, but is not mandatory.
