Sky Media is on a journey to transform its data and insight capabilities in order to drive its future roadmap and ensure long-term success. This role sits at the heart of this strategy enabling Sky Media extract more revenue and profit through best in class operational insights.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with stakeholders from other business areas within Sky Media (i.e. Commercial teams, Planning teams) on analytical projects.
• Develop hypotheses to explore and avenues of opportunity when presented with business asks.
• Summarise your findings in a commercial focused and actionable way. You will need to articulate reasons for performance in segments of our base and what improvement actions could be taken, overseeing the implementation of your insights.
• Become the subject-matter expert for analytical queries on the performance of Sky’s unique addressable product, AdSmart.
• Develop scalable and repeatable reports and dashboards using Data Visualisation Tools and regularly summarise insights to influence decision making.
• Extract the data required to run analysis to produce reliable and robust results using Big Query SQL in a cloud environment.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Understanding Business Issues: work with stakeholders to understand their decisions and the opportunities these present. Also, keen interest in the media industry and a desire to follow recent trends in the market.
• Designing an Analytical Approach: based on your knowledge of our data and analysis techniques, design a technical approach to addressing the business issue. Logical, end to end thinking from the outset.
• Creating and Presenting Insights: summarising patterns and findings in a convincing story and professionally presenting this to stakeholders
• Working in a Dynamic Environment: enjoys working in an innovative and creative environment. Enjoys task-focused delivery, a fast pace of work and overcoming challenges. Good multi-tasking abilities, flexibility, and patience in a fluid environment
• Experience in working with handling large data sets (particularly operational data) in a cloud-based platform such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in SQL, SAS, Python, R or other analysis and modelling packages.
• Degree level qualification in mathematics, statistics, or data science subject area.

Where You’ll Work

Our Osterley campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury, Acton Town and Ealing Broadway tube stations. There’s also plenty of parking, bike shelters and showers.
