As the company continues with their impressive growth locally, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team and assist the Controller with the financial, budgetary, and reporting functions of the business. The Senior Accountant must have knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, as they will directly aid in the preparation of financial reports and data reflecting the operating results, gross margin, cash flow and other financial metrics of the business. This position is often privy to confidential information and as such, requires diplomacy and discretion.

Responsibilities:

• Aiding in the preparation of various reports including, but not limited to, monthly/quarterly financial statements, accompanying financial lead sheets, weekly operating results, gross margin analysis, revenue stream review, all with appropriate variance analytics.
• Perform various financial tasks, such as accounts payable/receivable, HST returns, inventory reconciliations, GL account reconciliations, etc.
• Aiding in the development of financial forecasts and budgetary process.
• Assisting in the company’s monthly and yearly closing, including preparation for annual audit.
• Assist with accounting processes for newly acquired companies as needed.
• Create monthly billings and billing summaries
• Ability to work with foreign currency
