Hiring Security Guards *Must have a valid Ontario Security Guard License*

As an EPC agent, your role will encompass a range of vital responsibilities that contribute to the well-being and security of residents in old age homes. Some key job responsibilities include:

1. *Compassionate Assistance:* Serve as a dedicated 101 assistant to residents with dementia, offering patient, empathetic support in their daily activities, fostering a sense of companionship and comfort.

2. *Safety Oversight:* Ensure the security and safety of residents by monitoring entrances, exits, and common areas, promptly responding to any potential risks or emergencies.

3. *Engagement and Communication:* Build and maintain meaningful relationships with residents, engaging in conversations, recreational activities, and hobbies, promoting a positive atmosphere within the home.

4. *Crisis Management:* Possess the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, taking appropriate actions during emergencies and liaising with relevant personnel, such as medical professionals or family members.

5. *Observation and Reporting:* Keep meticulous records of resident behavior, health, and interactions, reporting any significant changes or concerns to supervisors and caregivers. Maintain accurate and detailed incident and activity reports.

6. *Medication Assistance:*Support residents in managing their medications, ensuring they adhere to prescribed schedules and dosages.

7. *Collaboration:*Work closely with fellow agents, caregivers, and healthcare providers to create a cohesive and comprehensive care plan for each resident.

8. *Dignity and Respect:* Uphold the dignity and respect of residents, providing assistance with personal care needs while maintaining their privacy and independence.

9. *Report Writing:*Develop clear, concise, and accurate written reports detailing observations, interactions, incidents, and resident updates, contributing to the overall assessment of residents’ well-being.

10. *Continuous Training:* Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance your understanding of dementia care, security protocols, communication techniques, and effective report writing.

11. *Adaptability:* Be flexible in your approach, as resident needs and conditions may vary, requiring you to adjust your interactions, care strategies, and report content accordingly.
