Landmark East School is a small, independent co-ed school for students diagnosed with learning disabilities in grades 3 through 12 and provides quality academic programs with personal growth experiences for each student. The approximately 60-75 students who attend Landmark East are diagnosed with a learning disability including dyslexia, attention deficit disorder or a nonverbal learning disability. Class sizes range in elementary and middle school from 1 to 8 students and in high school from 1 to 10 students. Academic programs are fully approved by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and individual intensive support classes are available for students, as required. All students participate in a daily advisory program as well as physical activity. All middle and high school students participate in a supervised daily study/homework program. The school is located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia – a small university town nestled in the Annapolis Valley.
One full-time position for Secondary Mathematics/Science
General Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Nova Scotia Teacher Certification
- Language – English background
Security and Safety:

Teaching Requirements:
- Teach students through focused instruction, multimedia presentations
- Provide individualized intensive support as required
- Prepare subject material for presentation according to the Nova Scotia curriculum guidelines
- Prepare, administer and correct assessments
- Work with other teachers to support individual students’ needs
- Evaluate the progress of students and communicate results with students, parents and school leaders
- Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops
