Wajax is currently seeking a Planner. The Production Planner should be a well organized person, with effective communication and interpersonal skills, and is responsible for the coordination of the daily production activities in the production area, understanding production constraints, finding solutions to deliver the product in a timely and costly manner.

Key Accountabilities
  • Coordinating production workforce, up to fifty open production orders.
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Determining manpower, equipment and materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Prepare production schedule for a daily, weekly, or monthly look ahead.
  • Align schedule with budgeted hours.
  • Compiling daily jobs data sheets.
  • Active engagement in daily meetings to discuss production constraints, issues and provide solutions in a team environment.
  • Identify capacity requirements and effectively resource plans.
  • Maintaining status of jobs in the ERP system.
  • Support training of new employees.
  • Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Actively participate in kick off meetings.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: College or University
  • Work Experience: 3+ years
  • Knowledge: Excellent communication and organizational skills, MS Office suite, MS Project, or Primavera.
