Key Responsibilities
  • Weigh outgoing truck loads from Black Diamond gravel pit.
  • Communicate with truck drivers on stockpile locations in gravel pit.
  • Communicate with walk in sales enquiries.
  • Prepare daily summary reports of trucking and subcontractors.
  • Assist supervisor in dispatching trucks to job sites.
  • Conduct site orientations, maintain an accurate visitors list and ensure proper PPE is being utilized by all visitors and truckers.
  • Participate in daily safety tool-box talks.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Knowledge & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a scale operator required.
  • Computer Skills – MS Office, ability to learn to scale software.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
  • Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
  • Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
  • Willing to work overtime, as required.
  • Must comply with the company’s drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
