Scaffolder Apprentice 3rd/4th Years

Jardeg is hiring Scaffolder Apprentices to join the CNRL Horizon project team on site. These are long-term temporary positions, supporting the Spring Turnaround Pre-Work. Charter flights provided from Calgary, Edmonton and shuttle service from Fort McMurray.

Site will provide camp lodging for all workers, with the option of locals to drive in and out. This will start on a 7/7 rotation and flip to either a 24/7 or a 6/1.Scaffolders provide safe and secure scaffold access. Scaffolders assemble, dismantle, modify system and tube and clamp scaffolds.

Scaffolder Apprentice will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

Communicate effectively with both staff and supervision to ensure expectations are met
Demonstrate safe work practices in the industrial environment with knowledge of Task Hazard Assessments
Begin to understand assembling, dismantling and modifying System (Layer/Ring Lock) and Tube & Clamp scaffolds
Knowledge of isometric drawings an assetWilling to learn new skillsPrioritize daily workload and manage materials efficiently

Minimum Requirements

Scaffolding Apprenticeship or Proof of hours upon request
CSO (Common Safety Orientation) / CSTS-2020
Confined Space Entry (CSE) (OSSA/ESC)
Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA/ESC)
Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

Scaffold Certificate affiliation is preferred
Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities
AWP Ticket

This is a fly-in/fly-out position and as such will be subject to the Government of Canada’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements:

Depending on your Vaccination status, it is a requirement to follow these instructions.
Fully Vaccinated (2 shots + 14 days) – Proof of vaccination and a rapid test done within 72 hours of travel (if you have been off CNRL site for more than 30 days).
Driving – If you are driving to site, you will require proof of a negative rapid test within 72 hours of travel.
As of December 21, in order to access any CNRL facility you will be required to be fully vaccinated.
