SCADA Engineer
Our client, located in Markham, is a growing systems integrator specializing MES and SCADA solutions. They are actively looking for an experience SCADA Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for leading and contributing to requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and commissioning of SCADA and MES solutions. This is a hybrid or office role.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing SCADA, PLC and MES applications and systems.
- Delivering successful implementations as per client requirements, budget, and schedule.
- Writing technical documentation including requirements specifications, design specifications, and test protocols for SCADA, PLC and MES solutions.
- Providing advice and technical consultation to clients.
- Installing and commissioning systems at client facilities.
- Developing and delivering end-user training.
- Providing ongoing support to clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
- 5+ years of AVEVA (formerly Wonderware) SCADA experience required.
- 5+ years of Rockwell or Schneider PLC programming experience.
- Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other database technologies.
- Proven experience commissioning solutions in production environment.
- Demonstrated success in project execution, collaboration with team members and clients.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to be client-facing and work directly with clients, including consulting experience including requirements gathering and on-site commissioning.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skill.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
- Willingness to travel to client sites.
