SAP PAYROLL BUSINESS ANALYST (TWO RESOURCES REQUIRED)

Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking two (2) SAP Payroll Business Analysts to join our team at Service Alberta to support the 1GX (SAP) payroll team within the Government of Alberta (GoA).

The successful contractor(s) have an anticipated May 16, 2022 start date for a 1 year contract with 1 year extension available (total contract term up to 2 years).

NOTES ON LOCATION: This role 100% on-site and the proposed resources must be prepared to work on-site at John E. Brownlee Building, 3rd Floor 10365 - 97 Street, Edmonton, AB.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Tri-global Solutions Group is hiring two (2) SAP Payroll Business Analysts to join our 1GX (SAP) team at Service Alberta to support the current payroll team.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Responsible for taking business requirements and translating them into technical requirements and solutions.

  • Create project documents and associated planning documents.
  • Create stakeholder analyses.
  • Lead consultations and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
  • Create business requirements, functional specifications and technical requirements.
  • Create new business and technical processes and complete business process reviews/re-engineering for existing processes.
  • Facilitate business process improvement sessions.
  • Assist in the development of new IT services.
  • Schedule, organize and lead project status meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Provide support by bridging communication between vendors, client ministries, and corporate technical and business teams.
  • Escalate unresolved issues/risks, options and recommendations.
  • Responsible for business architecture design, software system specifications design, and database modelling.
  • Participate iterative development using model-based processes .
  • Perform project management, business and technical analysis and systems design in delivering complex software solutions spanning n-tier development environments.
  • Produce project artifices with XML; UML and/or other web-services technologies.
  • Prepare, update and manage documents defining the business requirements, software requirements, functional design, and project plans and schedules reflecting achievable deliverables for the applications.
  • Prepare regular project status reports indicating project deliverables, possible risk and issues, time-lines and anticipated effort.
  • Ensure appropriate project communication occurs to all parties involved during all phases of the project.
  • Identify required user training.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by the Project Manager for a Business Analyst or Lead Technical Analyst role

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

M1: Hands on experience supporting all aspects of the Payroll functionality under the application: including Success Factors, SAP, Query Manager, SAP GUI, and PCC (3+ years)

M2: Experience in 3 or more of the items listed below: (3+ years)

  • SAP payroll including issue analysis and resolution
  • Payroll Reconciliation analysis
  • Forced retro-active analysis
  • Year end preparations
  • Year end run, issue analysis and resolution
  • QM training to other team members

M3: Knowledge of Canadian payroll and year end requirements for T4’s, federal reporting, remittance, and reconciliation (3+ years)

M4: Advanced level knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookup, complex formula’s and "IF" statements (3+ years)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

D1: Advanced level knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookup, complex formula’s and "IF" statements (3+ years)

D2: Evaluate all processes and develop required documentation or presentations for all processes and evaluate performance of staff and provide required feedback of all processes (3+ years)
