Rumbolts Plumbing & Heating - Journeyperson

Rumbolt’s Plumbing & Heating is looking to hire two Journeyperson Plumbers,Construction and Service. These positions are full time permanent, the ideal candidate would be located or willing to move to Labrador West but we are open to FIFO (Fly In Fly Out) arrangement.

Rumbolt’s Plumbing and Heating was established in 1990 and offers a wide variety of services including new construction plumbing, renovations, municipal water and sewer installation and repairs, commercial boiler maintenance and repairs, hot water heating system maintenance and repairs, septic system installation and repairs, sewage lift station maintenance and repairs, etc. Rumbolt’s has a fully stocked plumbing warehouse with a large variety of pipe, valves, fittings and fixtures.

Duties

• Effectively diagnose problems and communicate solutions and provide quote to customers
• Maintenance, repair and upgrade plumbing systems
• Repair oil, hot water and low pressure steam heating systems
• Repair or replacement sewer lines, pipes, taps, valves, traps, bathtubs, sinks and toilets
• Prepare material lists and accurately track parts and labour for each job
• Complete all necessary paperwork for each job and create written report
• Supervise a small crew of laborers and apprentices
• Maintain communication with general foremen and building owners and work with office staff to create a work schedule
• Submit spec sheets for materials to project engineers
• Order parts for upcoming projects

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification
• Experience providing estimates, writing reports and maintaining written records
• The ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and national plumbing codes
• Capable and willing to perform physically demanding work in sometimes hard conditions
• Residential and commercial construction and renovation experience
• Experience supervising employees
• Installing hot water boilers, hot water heating systems, electric water heaters, water distribution systems
• Installing heat trace and pipe insulation for freeze protection
