Role:

The Retail Sales Associate ensure the day to day operations of the retail store, including opening and closing duties, as well as, providing excellent customer service.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service to walk-in clients
  • Manage retail sales and handle cash
  • Process payments using POS machines for debit and credit
  • Assist customers with questions related to seafood products
  • Opening and closing duties for retail store
  • Answer phones and greet customers
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • Post-Secondary education is required
  • Minimum one year of retail experience and customer service
  • Experience with meat and seafood products and payment transactions
  • Excellent computer skills – MS office
  • Excellent English communication skills (written, listening, speaking and writing)
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Quality Orientation – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness on all aspects of the job; looks for ways to improve and promote quality, attentive to detail
  • Basic math skills
  • Physically able to lift (50 to 70 + lbs.), reach, climb, stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, repetitively for the duration of the shift
