We are hiring a part time janitor. You should be available to work mornings, holidays and the occasional weekend. This position is responsible for the cleanliness, deep cleaning, floor care of all areas, back of the house kitchen hallways, stairways, restaurants, Offices, Executive Offices, the pre-function areas, public and employee restrooms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Strength and ability to lift 50 pounds
• Housekeeping experience desirable.
• Neat, pleasant personality.
• Ability to work with cleaning machinery.
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for all cleaning including entire floor area, cleaning walls, cleaning entrance areas, Cleaning under equipment, strip and polish floors and stairs (monthly), washing doors. Clean Front Office area, shampoo carpets as needed, clean windowsills, polishing and dusting furniture and polish metal.
• Clean public restrooms following proper Cleaning Standards to include: including washing mirrors, cleaning light fixtures, polishing doors, mopping floors, polishing floors (monthly), re-stock paper supplies and scrubbing toilets.
• Clean all pre-function areas following proper Cleaning Standards to include: vacuuming carpets, cleaning telephone banks, shampooing carpets (monthly), cleaning entrance doors, polishing metal thresholds and removing marks from the walls.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant following proper Cleaning Standards to include: clean floors and apply finish (monthly), spot cleaning carpeting – shampoo monthly, vacuum carpeting nightly, clean and polish wooden fixtures, clean baseboards, spot clean walls, clean and polish banquets, chairs, table, window sills. Also responsible for cleaning spots on windows and high dusting of wooden walls.

The successful candidate will have a high standard of cleanliness, will be reliable and able to work with out supervision.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
