Responsibilities

Reporting to Research Manager. The Research Data Entry Clerk is responsible for obtaining and entering data into various disease site electronic databases. This includes reviewing patient health records from various medical sources/computer systems and then recording that information into electronic databases. Other duties include filing, operating office equipment, and other duties consistent within the scope of the job, as required.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of Grade XII
  • Computer experience, typing/keyboarding
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to function independently, unsupervised, and as a team member
  • Medical Terminology course preferred
  • Experience using MS Access including the ability to query data and generate reports an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in email, internet, fax machine and other office equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of research, data, and patient information is essential
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Familiarity with OPIS is an asset

Hours of Work

Long Assignment, Full-Time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly

Beginning July 25th, 2022 with an anticipated end date of July 25, 2023 (Approximately 12 months)

Salary Information

$14.78 hourly - $18.47 hourly

($28,813.01 - $36,016.50 annual salary)
