Your Opportunity:As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be working in the Acute Care department with a focus on cardiac and oncology patients at Chinook Regional Hospital. Units 4B and 4C each have 32 Acute Care beds, providing comprehensive health care services for patients. As a float RN on Units 4B/4C, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient and family centered care. You will provide clinical leadership, direction, supervision, mentoring to other professionals and unregulated staff, and you will play a key role in the support of an integrated holistic approach to the patient’s health care, health promotion and health maintenance requirements. The successful candidate will have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands. Your good communication skills give you the ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure the development, implementation and ongoing administration of the client care plans. You will demonstrate competence in relevant technical nursing skills and the ability to accurately and effectively assess client status and to take appropriate intervention measures that have significant impact on the client’s medical condition, safety, as well as ultimate recovery. Demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and organize tasks in a timely manner and to adapt to fluctuating priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team and to communicate findings in a concise manner. Proven assessment skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Previous charge nurse experience in Acute Medicine within the last 5 years. NIH and TOR-BSTT certifications.
