Position Summary

Matrox products have long fueled the broadcast and media industry. Matrox encoders and decoders enable remote production , webcasting, and contribution workflows, and our KVM extenders facilitate collaborative workflows within the broadcast facility. Our developer products provide the foundation of CG, video server, and channel-in-a-box solutions, while our software tools are designed to help OEMs easily transition from SDI to lP and the cloud.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively seek new customers and maintain existing clients’ accounts within the designated territories. Manage multiple customers involving a variety of resources with defined deadlines;
  • Evaluate customer requirements and propose appropriate solutions;
  • Represent Matrox at tradeshows and other business events;
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations as appropriate with a view of securing business for Matrox;
  • Interface directly with customers, engineering, product and project management on product requirements, deployment and technical issues;
  • Resolve complex problems in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s University degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics;
  • 5 years’ experience as technical sales representative selling Broadcast and Media products
  • Proven record of developing new business and maintaining existing business;
  • Results-oriented with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner;
  • Strong computer skills including high level of proficiency with SalesForce, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and customer databases;
  • Strong business decision-making.
  • Ability to self-manage and take initiative;
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with an outgoing personality, and a noted customer-focused orientation;
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks under pressure;
  • Experience in technical B2B sales is considered an asset;
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish);
  • Portuguese would be considered an asset.
