Job Purpose and Impact

The Regional Sales Leader will lead and develop our sales strategy, sales teams and processes to achieve revenue targets for the full portfolio from crop inputs to grain marketing for the Alberta region. We seek an experienced professional who will provide strategic vision, drive customer focus and operational excellence through coaching and developing the regional Alberta sales team. In this role, you will represent our organization and are responsible for delivering best in class customer experience.

**This position offers remote work within the Alberta region.**

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead sales operations in the Alberta region focusing on sound sales process fundamentals and best-in-class customer experience
  • Evaluate market potential and the status of sales in the Alberta region.
  • Plan and organize sales projects and activities for a geographical area.
  • Identify potential talent and develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Plan, develop and deliver the marketing strategy for Cargill’s full portfolio of products and services from Crop Inputs to Grain Marketing Services with a focus on the integrated end-to-end customer experience
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Ability to effectively coach and influence leaders and/or professionals
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for business within the Alberta Region
  • Possess a valid Canadian Full Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment.
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of supervisory experience
  • Proven experience with sales leadership
  • Understand the Canadian agricultural system at a high level including grain marketing, grain transportation, agronomy and crop production.
  • Strong leadership skills, team building skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills
