We are seeking a talented, passionate, dedicated R&D Technician, a fast-growing, start-up natural health gummy company. In this role, you’ll possess a solid work track record of excellent attendance, and the proven ability to meet deadlines. Play a critical role in the gummy manufacturing process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist chemist in their work as needed including gummy sample preparations, set-up and operation of lab equipment, scale-up and other nutraceutical manufacturing and basic analytical test.
• Maintains laboratory data documentation safe, clear and updated according to the SOPs.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment and facility on a routine basis while adhering and complying to cGMP and GLP.
• Maintains the laboratory material inventory; keep supply storage areas in a clean and organized state according to the SOPs.
• Monitors lab reagents inventory in a regular basis; re-orders chemicals as needed.
• Ensures the glassware is properly cleaned and stored according to the SOP.
• Responsible for working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures; properly uses personal protection and safety equipment as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A university diploma in Chemistry/Food Science/Pharmaceutical Science. Previous experience in R&D is preferred.
• Knowledge of Excel and Word is an asset.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical formulation is an asset.
• Must be organized and able to handle multiple work assignments.
• Good verbal and written in English communication skills.
• Flexible with the ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast paced environment.
