About The Role
If you are interested in supporting the transfer of Access Solutions manufacturing from Mississauga, Ontario to Cartago, Costa Rica, this is a unique and exciting opportunity. This is a multi-year project that will conclude upon successful transfer of all required products. The position will require you to utilize quality knowledge and technical skills to support and execute manufacturing transfer activities. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, with a team of cross-functional engineers focused on supporting manufacturing transfer.
This position will be located at the Mississauga, Ontario Access Solutions site reporting to an Access Solutions Manufacturing Quality Manager but will require occasional travel to support transfer activities.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Work with a team of quality engineers under the direction of the Quality Manager to support and execute process and quality deliverables associated with manufacturing transfer.
- Work with project managers and/or other workstream leads to understand priorities execution of deliverables.
- Proactively investigate, identify, and implement best-in-class quality practices.
- Support execution of deliverables associated with the strategic vision for manufacturing transfer.
- Ensure completion of assigned manufacturing transfer deliverables per set schedules.
- Maintain cross-functional team relationship; collaborate effectively and positively with peers.
- Work with manager and lead to establish and maintain goals and objectives, and ensure quality system, regulatory and safety policies and processes are followed.
- Evaluate the adequacy and compliance of manufacturing transfer activities against regulation and BSC requirements.
- Support development of Quality Plans and Project Tracking Plans for workstream.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or science related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing/operations experience.
- Experience with problem solving and process improvement tools such as DMAIC and production flow tools such as LEAN manufacturing.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, by analyzing, summarizing, and presenting ideas concisely via visual communication methods i.e. tables, graphs, Excel, Minitab, and PowerPoint presentation.
- Ability to travel to the United States and Costa Rica to support transfer activities.
- Medical device industry experience.
- Hands-on technical/mechanical experience and aptitude.
- Experience with manufacturing transfer projects.
- Ability to influence and work with a team collaboratively.
- Demonstrated leadership of problem solving in a manufacturing support role.
