Job Description:
  • The Solution Developer will provide data visualization guidance on existing and new/prototype applications for Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and other key business partners
  • The Developer will be responsible for executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies
Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements using interviews, documents, workshops, business process descriptions, use business case scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis
  • Create validate functional specifications with the business at the level necessary to extend or customize existing proof of concept product
  • Brainstorm broad concepts and ideas of various reporting designs, both individually and with the team, and translate those into a consumable, tangible solution
  • Design mockups with product specs that can be prototyped and refined in collaboration with the Business and Analytics team
  • Estimate timeframes and provide options and solutions to deliver projects on time and to budget
  • Developing project documentation, testing materials, training materials, requirements gathering including downstream and upstream interface requirements, and adhering to a project management methodology is a must for all reports undertaken
  • Introduce and adhere to version control
  • Follow intake process
  • Create a schedule and complete continuous maintenance and random testing of report refreshes to proactively identify any failures in report population or refreshing
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for your client base (Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, and Analytics) to use self-serve vs scheduled delivery updates through on-demand functions reducing manual preparation of reporting across the Enterprise, and assisting in the development of leaner processes



Experience Required:
  • Demonstrated proficiency with large-scale relational database and BI reporting tools including PowerBI Pro, Qliksense, Qlikview, Tableau, Cognos, and Nprint
  • Intermediate experience with ETL development using PySpark
  • Good working knowledge of AWS suite of tools including Glue, Redshift, Lamba, and Athena
  • Intermediate level skill in integrating data using reporting and visualization tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge in building effective and scalable data models
  • Good knowledge of installing and configuring/administering PowerBI Prod, Qliksense, Tableau, QlikView Desktop, QlikView Intermediate level skill in using SQL
  • Experience in AWS and/or Azure Cloud Development
  • Experience in Star Schema/Snowflake modeling, FACT & Dimensions tables server, IIS Server, and QlikView Publisher
  • Strong knowledge of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process is required
  • Capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a fast-paced and agile work environment
  • Attention to detail and a passion to produce a quality and scalable product
Skills Required:
Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and presentation skills
Experience Preferred:
  • Logistics or Operational experience is preferred and strong knowledge of the transportation industry is considered a plus
  • Experience utilizing Six–Sigma methodologies would be an asset
Education:
Bachelor’s and or degree in Computer Science or equivalent plus 5 + years related work experience in a related field
