As a QA/QC Specialist in Hydro, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of quality and comply with industry regulations. You will work closely with our engineering, construction, and maintenance teams to develop and implement quality control procedures, perform quality inspections, and manage documentation.

Note: This position is located in Timmins, Ontario

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures for all hydro projects
  • Conduct regular inspections of hydro projects to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
  • Document and report on all quality control activities, including non-conformances and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in external audits by regulatory agencies and clients
  • Provide training and support to project teams on quality control procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to quality control in the hydro industry

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or CET is preferable
  • 4+ years of experience in quality control
  • Experience in the hydro industry is required
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to quality control in the hydro industry
  • Experience with quality control procedures, documentation, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Certification in quality control or related field is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Will be required to travel to client project sites in various locations.
