We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchaser/Inventory Coordinator to join our team. As a Purchaser/Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring the availability of goods and materials necessary for our operations. Your role will involve coordinating with suppliers, analyzing demand patterns, optimizing inventory levels, and implementing effective inventory control strategies. This position requires strong analytical abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

  • Determine procurement needs from internal stakeholders and execute the ordering of equipment based on the dates required.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, prices, and deliveries.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues or discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

Inventory Coordinator:

  • Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs and prevent discrepancies.
  • Regularly review inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, present recommendations to Supply Chain manager.
  • Manage inventory stock lists between internal and external warehouses and customer sites.

Supplier and Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, by promoting transparent, open communication and collaboration.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate regular reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze data to identify trends, highlight areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize procurement and inventory processes.
  • Maintain supplier performance records highlighting quality, on time delivery, pricing trends and reliability.
  • Provide input and support to management in strategic decision-making related to procurement, inventory control, and cost management.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of current supply chain strategies (procurement, logistics and inventory control).
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams and adapt to changing business needs within a small growing company.
