The Procedures and Reporting Standards department in Claims and Driver Licensing Operations is hiring a Web Content

Specialist to work out of head office in North Vancouver.

The focus of this role will be to research and analyze operational activities, provide content consultative services, and participate

in developing online communication solutions to meet the business requirements of the corporation. Key to success in this role

will be strong writing skills in content, terminology and tone of material. You have the ability to listen to and understand business

needs and to explain technical information to others in understandable terms.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate will also liaise with internal clients, gathering information from various business areas to create and

maintain effective web content that supports the business objectives and operational needs of the company. Strong project

management skills are required for coordinating content for the Claims Centre upgrade.

You will provide advice and direction to content contributors in writing procedures and publishing web-based material, including

procedural manuals, web tools, job aides and training materials. You will also participate in the development, implementation

and education of web writing standards for the organization that conform to best practices.

Your qualifications include a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in web writing and project leadership; an

understanding of web technology and SharePoint is an asset.

Knowledge of project management principles to develop, execute and monitor plans for small scale projects.

The above requirements would typically be met through post-secondary education in a related field, including creative writing,

technical writing, online communications planning and tools, and a few years of related experience in content management in a

web environment and project leadership.
