Job title: Warehouse Labourer
Job type: Full time
Job overview: You will be responsible for warehousing duties, including picking orders, loading and unloading trucks, cutting pads, inspecting and storing materials and products as well as maintaining a clean warehouse. You will also assist with other warehousing duties as directed by the Distribution Warehouse Manager.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM-4:30 PM), with 30 min lunch break and two (2) 15-minute coffee breaks

Task, Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently cut custom-sized pads for orders in a safe manner.
• Coordinate with couriers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Match all shipping paperwork (picking slips and packing slips with order write ups and sales orders for invoicing purposes).
• Accurately process all required documentations and maintain adequate records for reporting, tracking, accounting and record keeping purposes.
• Shipping/receiving stock.
• Organize inventory.
• Maintain a clean warehouse.
• Adhere to BGE’s Safety Program.

Educational Requirements:

• Completion of high school.

Physical requirements:
Standing; walking; bending; crouching; kneeling; working in confined spaces; heavy lifting up to 23kg (50lbs); exposure to heights, dusty environments and extreme temperatures. For safety reason, wearing steel toed boots is required in the warehouse.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, and other competencies:

• Experience working in warehouse environment is an asset.
• Must be able to perform related physical and mental activities.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to take direction in a diverse team environment and work well individually.
• Good communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Adaptable and self-motivated.
• Positive attitude with flexibility to work in multiple support roles.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Safety conscious attitude with the willingness to adhere to BGE’s Safety Program.
