Responsibilities:

• Plan lessons and resources
• Teach techniques based on RCM curriculum
• Help students prepare for upcoming performances/RCM exams/festivals
• Follow studio policies (to be discussed during interview)
• To interact and stay organized with studio manager and director
• Respond to emails or text quickly
• Punctual start and end of lesson time with each student, along with perfect attendance
• Organized in keeping tabs on schedule, demos, and make-ups.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Excellent piano skills
• A good knowledge of pop music/jazz music/ classical music/ RCM curriculum
• Patient and enthusiastic
• Good communication skills
• Self -motivated and good organizational skills
• Committed, and punctual
• A good sense of humor and comfortable talking with students and parents

Education & Experience:

• Teacher must be familiar with genres other than Classical
• MUST have some music certifications , and/or degree related to music
• Experience in teaching children.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Salary: From $30.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• teaching: 1 year (required)
