Reports to Mill Training Coordinator

This position is located in Rocanville, Saskatchewan, Canada and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:

• Demonstrate positive safety behaviours and safety leadership through working safely and effectively in a team setting as well as independently
• Present existing and new training materials to employees in both a classroom and on-the-job setting
• Develop and design new training programs for new processes or equipment and update existing material
• Evaluate departmental training programs, gathering data pertaining to training material and offering recommendations
• Coordinate training within multiple departments
• Monitor employee performance and training results
• Maintain appropriate training records for all employees

What you will bring:

• Grade 12 or GED Equivalent, with a technical or operating background - Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate in a mechanical trade or equivalent experience would be considered an asset
• Strong Safety commitment
• Knowledge of maintenance techniques (rigging, hydraulics, shop tools)
• Operation of Stationary and Mobile Cranes would be considered an asset
• Knowledge of OH&S regulations, as well as Mines Regulations
• Experience in the operation of mobile equipment
• Superior computer skills are required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage conflict
• Excellent organizational skills, problem solving, time and priority management
• Ability to multitask in a high paced environment
• Earn the trust of, and collaborate with, internal stakeholders across the BU within maintenance, operations, planning and projects, building commitment and support to implement positive change and respond to operational needs and value-drivers
• Excellent leadership skills to help bring accountability to the team by creating a supportive and motivating work environment
• Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
• Knowledge of milling and mining operations would be considered an asset
• Previous experience in a supervisory role would be considered as asset
• Experience using LMS would be considered an asset
