This position will report to the Senior Manager, Talent Strategy and will be responsible for supporting full cycle recruitment for our Distribution Center and Transportation client groups across Canada.

You will own the recruitment process and manage stakeholder relationships from requisition creation through onboarding. This process includes leveraging and/or creating attraction strategies, sourcing of positions, managing candidate pipelines, interviewing and process coordination, and providing hiring recommendations through offer acceptance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the entire recruitment process from initiating a new search, drafting of job descriptions, assessing candidates against key competencies, building robust sourcing strategies, offer negotiations and pre-employment checks for all Distribution Center roles.
  • Provide an efficient recruitment process managing all applicants through Workday (ATS).
  • Maintain accurate records, providing weekly updates to the business on the candidate pipeline and recruitment metrics.
  • Provide guidance and act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on recruiting best practices i.e. (interviews, candidate assessments and selection criteria), competitor analysis and labour market trends.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager Talent Strategy and Distribution Center management to develop sourcing streams and execute on agreed strategy to build diverse pools of candidates .
  • Identify candidates through various sourcing mediums; database mining, online tools, advertisements, social media and existing candidate inventory.
  • Provide onsite support two (2) days per week at each Distribution centers in Ontario. This will be a shared resource between Mississauga and Martin Grove.
  • Be a brand ambassador, by ensuring an optimal candidate experience throughout the process and highlighting the culture of the organization.
  • Leading Distribution Center recruitment and career networking events.
  • Support additional recruiting efforts and participate in projects as required.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business or equivalent discipline OR appropriate combination of experience and education
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth environment supporting general labour positions, transport and distribution center roles
  • Strong screening and interviewing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the agility to flex to changing business demands
  • Strong sourcing capabilities with proven track record of engaging passive candidates and building diverse pipelines.
  • Proven track record of achieving hiring goals and forming positive relationships with hiring managers.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members and client groups to work in a collaborative and consultative manner.
  • Previous experience using Applicant Track systems; WorkDay, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searching techniques and other technology that leverages social media and internet sourcing
  • Experience advising hiring teams and helping them develop strategic recruiting plans.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at a time
  • Strong process improvement mindset that drives continuous improvement in the recruitment processes and candidate experience
  • Critical thinking, good judgment and the ability to recognize communication needs and opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
