A day in the life as a Supervisor, Administration Financial Planning:

  • You will be involved in Financial Planning process, and will supervise daily support operations of Westoba Financial Solutions Ltd.
  • You will review plan the most efficient administrative procedures
  • You will train employees and allocate responsibilities
  • You will assist with interdepartmental relationship collaboration to enhance member & employee experience
  • You will collaborate with department leaders in assessing staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
  • You will support department leaders to ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information and support within Westoba to facilitate other business operations
  • You will collaborate with other administrators to organize and supervise other office activities (internal training, event planning etc.)
  • You will ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations set out by department regulators
  • You will keep abreast with all organizational changes and business development
  • You will support the Director, Financial Planning in achieving organizational goals & objectives

What you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary education is required, a diploma in Business Administration is preferred
  • Five to seven years of financial planning administrative experience is expected; two to three years’ experience in a leadership role is expected
  • In-depth understanding of investment, insurance and financial planning procedures and departmental and legal policies
  • In-depth understanding of investment, insurance and financial planning procedures and departmental and legal policies
  • Financial Planning, Investment Planning, Insurance Planning knowledge required
  • Willing to expand technical knowledge by obtaining:
    • IFSE – CIFOC; Canadian Investment Funds Operations Course (within 12 months)
    • IFSE – Canadian Investments Funds Course (career development plan)
    • IFSE – BM; Branch Managers’ Examination Course (career development plan)
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
