We are looking for a skilled Coordinator to aid in the administration of the Executive Chef’s office and Stewarding Office and assist the Executive Chef and senior kitchen/stewarding management team in effective and efficient verbal, written and electronic communication with guests, kitchen employees and other hotel departments.What Is In It For You

What You Will Be Doing
Ensure that the departmental payroll, holidays and stats are accurately and efficiently recorded for Kitchens and Bean
Create weekly schedule templates for Kitchen and Bean
Enter Kitchen and Bean team schedules in our WATSON system
Post Kitchen and Bean team schedules
Create Daily Labor Reports
Forward records to Talent and Culture pertaining to WCB claims, Weekly Indemnity claims, Vacation and Sick Notes and all other employee-related concerns
Data entry of food purchases, daily revenues and food cost tracking
Coordinate and keep accurate records for the Culinary Apprenticeship Program
Register new Apprentices and enroll Apprentices to schools
Facilitate new employee department training and orientation
Prepare and track job task checklists for Kitchen and Bean colleagues
Attend Stewarding/Kitchen/Bean departmental meeting and manage/coordinate minutes and actions from meetings
Assist and prepare standard menu recipes and costing cards
Coordinate, process and plan BEO’s and follow through on daily changes or updates
Administer and manage Talent Acquisition System (INES) for the department
Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate full interviews
Update Kitchen and Bean Applicants’ status in the Talent Acquisition System (INES)
Conduct Reference checks
Assist with training of HAACP, WHMIS, and other training/classroom courses.
Send resignation, termination and transfer emails
Create Employee Action Forms for the Kitchens and the Bean: hiring, change of status, and terminations
Maintain Kitchen/ Bean office filing system, including employee files, performance logs and performance appraisals
Prepare BDTs and resumes for resume meetings
Coordinate monthly Health and Safety Audits for all Kitchens
Update spreadsheets pertaining to hiring, schedules, and payroll
Submit month end reports: transfers and unproductive hours
Order department office supplies
Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
Carry out any other tasks as assigned
Your Experience And Skills Include
Strong business communication skills (composing faxes, letters) required
Must be highly skilled with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Previous payroll administration experience would be an asset
Previous experience with Hiring would be an asset.
Previous experience with the following programs would be an asset:
Time and Attendance, WATSON and Talent Acquisition System (INES)
Previous background in a Food & Beverage and Kitchen environment an asset
Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
Ability to consistently stand and walk through out shift
