Headquartered in Kitchener, ON, Canada, Avidbots offers comprehensive service and support to customers in 5 continents.This role will have the option to be hybrid working in our headquarters for a minimum of 3 days each week!How you will make a differenceExecute strategic sourcing activities and bring best value for money to organizationManage end to end sourcing life cycle for material and servicesConduct detailed analysis of various materials to lay out the strategic direction for sourcingConduct research to bring up-to-date market knowledge, industry trends, and innovation to identify the new vendors and build relationships with them.Drive best total value by working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure synergy with business needs, favorable terms and conditions, risk mitigation and required service level agreements that drive continuous improvement and cost managementRepresent strategic sourcing as a subject matter expert on key categories for material and servicesParticipate in cross-functional sourcing projects with key internal stakeholdersThe chosen candidate will work on our purchasing team and engage in strategic sourcing as a departmental liaison and generalist to assist in optimizing operational functions. The ideal candidate is strategic, has a high attention to detail, eager to both learn and transfer knowledge with other team members.This is an individual contributor reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.Preferred qualifications and key skillsDemonstrates excellent communications skills (verbal & written)Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with a diverse group of individualsDeliverable-focused, strong work ethicExperience in a similar role would be an assetDetail-oriented and highly organizedStrong negotiation skillsStrong problems solving skillsMinimum qualifications2+ years working experience in a Strategic Sourcing environmentKnowledge of Sourcing & Procurement processes and best practices, sourcing tools and programs, basic legal terms & conditionsSuccessfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include: criminal/civil background checks and motor vehicle records search***Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada for any employerAvidbots is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce.
