As a Solutions Engineering (SE) Operations Coordinator, you are a creative problem solver. You are resourceful when challenged. As an SE Operations Coordinator, you will:

  • Become a hands-on expert in Brightspace products. You will not just need theoretical knowledge of how things work, but you will be expected to try things out and make sure they work in practice. After that, you will be prepared to communicate your expertise in written responses and presentations
  • Monitor and support presales questions and requests
  • Provide basic technical support for Solution Engineers
  • Respond to user questions related to Brightspace first-use experiences
  • Triage and report presale trends and/or pain-points during a presales evaluation phase
  • Speak with prospects when needed with confidence and friendliness.
  • Willfully demonstrate any of D2L’s range of products and to explain their competitive advantages and business benefits to a wide variety of technical audiences.
  • Work closely with our Solution Engineers and RFP Proposal Managers to write clear, accurate and succinct answers for Requests for Proposal (RFPs) on deadlines.
  • Attend conferences and support Solution Engineers on the road as required (travel <10%).

To be considered you must:

  • Be comfortable with technology and have a ‘button clicker’ personality.
  • Have strong troubleshooting skills
  • Have effective communication skills to articulate solutions at the level of the customer
  • Be confident in front of audiences in an ‘expert’ capacity
  • Have strong writing and comprehension skills
  • Be eager to find new ways to simplify processes and overcome technical barriers both in their job and when faced with prospect requirements
  • Be experienced working on teams and communicating via instant messaging, online forums, and through email
  • Have an interest in education and educational technology
  • Be comfortable with last-minute demands and be flexible with a variety of incoming requests

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Applicants with additional language skills besides English, either written or spoken, will be given a special consideration.
