About The Role

At Applanix (Trimble) our systems, software, and solutions are designed for pinpoint accuracy, efficiency, and ease of use, supporting applications for mobile mapping, surveying, and autonomous vehicles. We are currently recruiting for a Software Engineer, the primary role will be to develop software and algorithms for a real time positioning system. The candidate should have sufficient experience with multi-sensor systems to be able to partake in systems engineering and integration tasks.

What You Will Do

• Develop embedded software for a multi-sensor mapping system including GUI components
• Work with navigation engineers to interface and test navigation algorithms
• Integrate various sensors such as GNSS, Inertial, Optical and others
• Perform system level testing, in-field testing and debugging
• Work with product and development managers to refine requirements
• Prepare software design and release documentation
• Participate in product life cycle development
  
  

What We Are Looking For In A Candidate

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer ScienceExperience with C and C++ and formal knowledge of Real-Time systems5+ years of experience in system level integrationExperience developing software on a RTOS such as eCOSExperience with GNSS & Inertial and positioning systems is a strong asset
