Sewing Machine Operator

EQ3 is an innovative leader in furniture and accessory design with retail locations across Canada and the US and a rapidly growing e-commerce presence. We are seeking Sewing Machine Operators to join our growing production team. The Sewing Machine Operator positions are full-time, day and evening shifts, located at 70 Lexington Park, Winnipeg, MB.

THE SKILLS YOU’LL NEED:

• Must have a minimum of one year of industrial sewing experience
• Physically able to operate a sewing machine (including single needle, double-needle/high post, or serger)
• Ability to work with minimal instruction and supervision
• Strong knowledge of upholstery covers, leather, or fabrics
• Must have a high level of attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to read sewing specifications is required

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Receive, cut, or sew upholstery covers, ensuring bundles are accurate
• Work collaboratively with the Sewing Team Leader for any issues such as missing or defective pieces
• Complete sewing bundles and ensuring all pieces are correct according to product specifications
• Maintain quotas in accordance with established production targets
• Ensure all completed units have accurate product information attached
• Ensure all completed units arrive in the designated area
