Service Manager - Automotive

The Journey Auto Group is currently seeking a Full-Time Service Manager to join our Volkswagen team in Coquitlam, British Columbia.

Role & Responsibilities

• Hiring and training service department staff to promote customer satisfaction and excellent service.
• Continually creating strategies to increase labour sales and efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance of a safe working environment.
• Maintain and control department budgets and expenditures.
• Review, on an ongoing basis, to ensure all department staff are complying with policies and procedures in place.
• Review and evaluation of Service Advisors on an ongoing basis. Provide training where applicable.
• Ensure that customer complaints are handled in a timely and professional matter.
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manger.
  

Knowledge And Skills Required

• Experience working in an automotive dealership in a similar role.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and people skills.
• Knowledge of automotive equipment parts and accessories.
• Ability to make decisions and judgement calls when required.
• Ability to motivate department staff to obtain departmental and personal goals.
• Ability to work well with other departments in the dealership.
• Ability to adequately maintain records and prepare reports.
• Previous experience with CDK would be an asset.
