Great Canadian Gaming Corp. is seeking to fill the position of Senior Manager, Treasury.Under the guidance of the Director, Finance, this position is primarily responsible for overseeing the Company’s treasury functions, working with the team at the corporate office, and regularly communicating with the regional finance teams. Assists in the development and implementation of finance strategies and treasury initiatives, and implements best practice cash flow management and forecasting procedures. The Senior Manager, Treasury will work with senior management to ensure compliance with reporting with banks and other stakeholders as well as help to manage relationships with our lenders.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports and cash flow forecasts, in conjunction with regional finance teams
  • Manages the Company’s derivative instruments, including FX and interest swaps, as applicable.
  • Has a deep understanding of the Company’s banking agreements and related key terms and reporting deadlines.
  • Manages all cash management functions including cash concentration, wires and EFTs/ACHs, and account funding
  • Understands the Company’s cash management banking system in detail and is responsible for maintaining banking functions and roles within the system.
  • Ensures adequate liquidity for working capital needs and invest short-term excess cash, if required.
  • Manages intercompany cash, including intercompany payables/receivables, dividends, and capital injections.
  • Prepares BA renewals, funding notices, and draw notices, including assisting with capex draw submissions,
  • Prepares covenant compliance certificates and other quarterly and annual bank reporting requirements
  • Oversees cash management banking and financial institution relationships.
  • Maintains debt related working papers and prepares debt related journal entries
  • Reviews or approves day-to-day payments, including payroll, government, and regulatory payments as well as inter-company transfers
  • Reviews journal entries related to corporate banking transactions and month-end accruals
  • Reviews monthly bank reconciliations for corporate bank accounts as well as regional bank accounts, when needed
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests, employees, management and auditors
  • Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • 5+ years progressive finance and accounting experience. Treasury experience an asset
  • Post-secondary degree in finance, commerce, business or related subject required
  • CPA designation required
  • Proactive in responding to changing market factors.
  • Exceptional intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with the executive and senior management team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
  • Ability to exceed stakeholders’ expectations through leading by example and by providing timely, effective and service oriented communication (written/verbal) and support.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and maintain confidentiality; mediation and conflict management/resolution experience.
  • Experience with JDE/Oracle is an asset.
  • A track record of diligence and responsibility, being a self-starter and having the drive to succeed.
  • Ability to act with considerable independence, discretion and judgement.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Standard level criminal record and credit check through the applicable provincial regulators as required.
