We’re the largest financial institution based on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, and we’ve got an opportunity for you. We are looking for a Senior Insurance Representative Level 3 to support the 4th Street and Comox Insurance Agencies, so if you’re passionate about building relationships and providing sound advice with tailored insurance solutions to meet our clients needs we would like to hear from you!
What’s the role?
As a Senior Insurance Representative Level 3you can support Coastal Community’s vision by developing valuable long-term relationships with clients. This would include pro-actively determining and filling their insurance needs and providing them sound advice with high quality, tailored insurance solutions to meet their needs. In this role you will have the freedom to act, and although must refer non-routine decisions to others, will work under limited supervision rather than direct supervision.
Your duties will include:
- Assist the management team with performing the daily operations of the agency as required
- Opening and closing the agency when required
- High level knowledge of policy and procedure
- Provide advice and assistance to employees as required
- Actively support the team environment by demonstrating an enthusiastic approach to and reinforcement of the sales culture
- Act as a positive resource and mentor for team members and lead by example
- Take responsibility for self-development and continuous learning to maintain and achieve the required knowledge for the position
- Duties will also include those already laid out in the existing Level 2 job description
- Will serve clients and potential clients as part of the daily and regular accountabilities of the Level 2 position including handling potential problem renewals and client complaints
Other duties would include:
- Look for efficiencies, assist in reviewing processes to identify improvements and make recommendation to existing policies and procedures
- Foster relationship building through service excellence and product knowledge
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years’ experience in the insurance industry
- Strong working knowledge of personal, Autoplan, and commercial insurance services where required
- Successful completion of CAIB or CIP Designation
- Advanced knowledge of all Coastal Community products and services
- Advanced knowledge of all Coastal Community policies, procedures and applicable legislation
- Advanced knowledge of the Epic System
- Actively pursuing insurance knowledge and/or other related education
Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with
- Proficient with the Windows suite of programs
- Ability to utilize sound judgement in developing recommendations/decisions
- Ability to build client relationships resulting in expanded share of wallet
- Ability to multitask while providing quality service
